Method of Payment
Orders are taken on open account, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Open account status is granted to well rated firms, institutions and government agencies, or to established businesses with three credit references and a banking history. Terms of payment are to be determined. Past due accounts are subject to a late payment charge. To open an account, call American Metal Services Credit Department. Credit Cards: American Metal Services accepts MasterCard, Visa or American Express with a $25.00 minimum order and is subject to a service charge. Please have your credit card information available when ordering by phone.
Sales Tax
Sales Tax: American Metal Services is required by law to charge and collect state and local sales tax in AR, AZ, CA, GA, IL, KS, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NM, OH, OK, SC, TN and TX. Open account customers must have a state sales tax exemption certificate on file with American Metal Services to avoid state sales tax charges. Sales tax will always be charged unless otherwise indicated.

Minimum Orders Placed Under $25.00 are subject to a $5.00 handling fee.

Non-Catalog Items
Merchandise not listed on this web site, if available from our regular suppliers, may be subject to minimum order quantities and/or special handling charges. Shipment is made as quickly as deliveries are received from our source. Special order products are sold on a non-returnable basis.
Delivery
All U.S. shipments are F.O.B. shipping point. In all cases the title shall pass when the carrier accepts the material for shipment. Therefore, all risk of loss or damage shall be incumbent upon the customer. CBC and shipper handling charges may be applied to order. Door-to-door, Door-to-Airport or Next Day Air freight is available F.O.B. shipping point. All of the above terms are in effect unless otherwise stated in writing.
Shipment Damage
Warranty:
Seller warrants that products sold to Buyer shall be free
from defects in material and workmanship and shall
conform to specifications. Except for such warranty, the
Seller disclaims any and all other warranties of any kind
whatsoever, including without limitation, any warranty of
merchantability of fitness for particular purpose and
including but not limited to any oral or written
description of the products, their characteristics or
properties other than that specifically stated in the
foregoing limited warranty.
Seller shall have not liability for con- sequential or
incidental damages to persons or property arising from
its supply of products. In the event that its products
are not as warranted, Buyer's sole remedy will be, at
Seller's election, replacement of the product or return
of the purchase price. Prior written approval from the
Seller must be secured before returning any merchandise
for credit.

Because of the volatile price fluctuation of metals, a surcharge may apply.
Merchandise Return
Returns must be made promptly and accompanied by a Return Authorization. Authorization may be obtained from the American Metal Services. Returns may be subject to a restocking fee. In order to return a product to American Metal Services please follow the steps below.
Call 1-888-413-7446 and ask for a Return Authorization number. In order to receive credit, your RA number must be returned with the product. You will be given the return address for the American Metal Services RA department. Return freight charges are to be pre-paid. Returnable product must be in the original packaging and in resalable condition. The return cannot exceed 30 days of the original invoice date. If product proves defective, it may be returned within 60 days of the original invoice date. Customer order errors are subject to re-stocking fees. Non-cancelable, non-returnable "Specials" are not returnable to.

American Metal Services time for delivery or performance will be extended by the period of such delay or American Metal Services may, at its option, cancel any order or remaining part thereof without liability by giving notice to the Customer.

Since American Metal Services cannot control the use of its products, there are no express warranties that extend beyond the description contained herein. American Metal Services disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability or of fitness for any particular purpose. Since American Metal Services cannot control the manner or use of its product after the sale, it will not be responsible for any consequential or indirect damages.
